Plants are very important to us humans not only as a source of oxygen but also to supply us with products not only for us but also for livestock. To the world, we in Malaysia are known for our Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil because we are the second exporters of Palm oil, one level below Indonesia. The plants are so vital to us, and there have been many years of researching of the agriculture business, that has to lead to us more inventions and innovations to use in this industry. Since we were young we have been taught about plants in science class and proceed to learn more on them, from their structure of living on to what they need to grow and produce their fruits and flowers. Every plant needs light, water, soil and nutrients in able to grow into a healthy tree or flower. We always hear about how it is important to fertilize and advice that we should start composting. But what are the meanings of these terms?


Fertilizer is a substance given to a plant so that is supplies all the necessary nutrients for the plants to grow. Adding on fertilizer to a plant ensures that it can make it grow faster and ensure that it grows high quality produce. There is known to be two types of fertilizers which are organic and chemical. These fertilizers can come in different kinds of forms from liquid to solids. Usually, Pensijilan MSPO has these essential elements which are Nitrogen, Potassium, and Phosphorus.

Now, what is compost? Compost is an organic matter that is decomposed and it becomes a soil conditioner. Compost is usually made from food wastage that is good for all sorts of plants of different purposes that are landscaping horticulture or just general farming. Compost is also known to be fertilizer and can also act as a natural pesticide.
