USIN BOLT CATAT REKOD BARU 100M OLIMPIK 2012 DENGAN KELAJUAN 9.63 SAAT | Diramalkan banyak pihak walaupun berhadapan dengan masalah kecederaan, Usain Bolt memenangi emas dalam acara 100m Sukan Olimpik 2012 dengan menghasilkan rekod baru 9.63 saat, di Stadium Olimpik London (awal pagi tadi waktu Malaysia).
Atlet Jamaica itu mengatasi Yohan Blake, juga dari Jamaica, dan Justin Gatin masing-masing dari Jamaica dan Amerika Syarikat, menduduki tempat kedua dan ketiga.
Bolt, 25, muncul sebagai atlet kedua memenangi emas dalam acara 100m dalam dua temasya berturut-turut. Atlet terdahulu mencatatkan rekod sedemikian ialah Carl Lewis dari Amerika Syarikat.
Dalam reaksinya, Bolt berkata, dia tahu akan memenangi larian 100m di London.
“Saya gembira, apabila saya masuk ke pusingan pertama, saya sudah merasai yang saya boleh melakukannya,” katanya selepas menang acara 100m.
Pada Sukan Olimpik 2008, Bolt lari dengan kepantasan 9.69s dalam acara 100m, 19.30s (200m) dan mencipta rekod 4×100m dengan masa 37.10s.
